This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Price Change Transaction Set (879) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. The transaction set can be used to enable a manufacturer, supplier, broker, or agent to notify a trading partner of any changes to product cost or price information. This transaction set is not used to establish the initial cost/price of product.
