This Draft Standard for Trial Use contains the format and establishes the data contents of the Logistics Reassignment Transaction Set (536) for use within the context of an Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) environment. This transaction set is used to provide information necessary to transfer management responsibility between an old and new managing organization. This transaction set may be used to convey a description and quantity of the transferred material, specific inventory locations, product quality information, technical data, open contract information, demand data, procurement history, and other information necessary for the new managing organization to evaluate and meet the material needs of customers.
To indicate the start of a transaction set and to assign a control number
To indicate the beginning of a material management transaction and transmit identifying numbers and dates
To transmit identifying information as specified by the Reference Identification Qualifier
To specify pertinent dates and times
To identify a party by type of organization, name, and code
To specify additional names or those longer than 35 characters in length
To specify the location of the named party
